Using the
Buildings
Shirley Baptist Church is privileged to have a range of excellent facilities. These are primarily used for the many church-based activities run at SBC but are also available for hire to other local community and charity organisations and individuals on an informal basis. Please note that usage of the facilities must be consistent with our charitable and tax status.

Sanctuary
The sanctuary at SBC is large flexible space with an adaptable stage and seating that can be configured to seat up to 300 people. The seating can also be completely or partially removed.
It has a well-equipped sound desk and video projection capabilities, effective and configurable lighting, and free Wi-Fi.
While this space is primarily used for worship, it is also suitable for events such as concerts, theatre performances and conferences.
Hard Halls
There are two halls which have wood effect flooring, one for general purposes and the other as a fully equipped sports hall. The sports hall is approximately 200 square metres, and the other hall is around half this size.
The sports hall is one of the most exciting spaces in the building and is very popular especially with the children and young people, with basketball rings, indoor football nets, table tennis, volleyball, and many other facilities.
Soft Halls
There are two other large rooms that have a carpeted floor and accommodate up to 40 people.
In addition, there are several smaller meeting rooms, suitable for smaller gatherings of up to 6 or so people.
Free Wi-Fi is available in all these rooms.
