We've got the the following exciting opportunity for paid employment!
Kairos Coffee Manager
Kairos Coffee is a vibrant and exciting community which serves local people as part of Shirley Baptist Church. It demonstrates God’s love and is a place where everyone is welcome. In seeking a new Manager for the coffee shop, we are looking for a leader to take forward this important part of our church’s ministry.
You will have:

Knowledge of food preparation and cooking, along with experience in planning and costing menus and an understanding of budgets and stock control are key skills which are desirable but on which training can be provided if needed.

Exceptional organizational skills and a passion for excellent service are essential. You should have the ability to work with people from all walks of life, being sensitive to customers’ and volunteer needs. Previous experience in a similar enterprise would be clearly advantageous though not essential.

A heart for God’s mission and a vision to take Kairos forward into the next exciting stage of its development.
The post is for 15-22 hours per week.

Shirley Baptist Church is self-funded, so apart from a few specific individuals, all the work is done by volunteers.
So, with so much going on, on Sundays and throughout the week, there are always opportunities to volunteer. There are all kinds of jobs ranging from washing up in the coffee shop to greeting people when they arrive for the Sunday morning service.
